Howard County General Hospital - $19,950  

Grant provides for the expansion the hospital’s perinatal bereavement program to include perinatal hospice services to support families as they transition from delivery to a possible short life of their baby. Funds will provide for the development of hospital policies that support palliative care in planning for an infant’s death, materials, staff education and increased hours for the HCGH Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator to provide emotional, spiritual and practical support to families as they make and carry out this difficult decision.
