Horizon Council Makes Lunches for Homeless
Monday, February 14, 2011
(Columbia Patch) --
Western Horizon Council members prepared
lunches for people who are
staying in the Cold Weather Shelter managed by
Grassroots Crisis
Intervention Center during the winter months
when space at its other
quarters are at capacity. Local faith
communities provide overnight
accommodations for those unable to find shelter
elsewhere.
The Western Horizon
Council is a citizen
advisory group to The Horizon Foundation, which
addresses community
health issues through strategic grants,
community programs and
partnerships with private and public
institutions.
