HC Drugfree To Sponsor Evening Substance Abuse Program - November 11 Event to include Kendel Ehrlich, Maryland's First Lady

HC DrugFree will present a special evening program, The Family: The First Line of Defense in Preventing Substance Abuse on Tuesday, November 11th, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Jim Rouse Theater at Wilde Lake High School. The program for parents, adolescents and community members will focus on the importance of family support, boundaries, expectations, values and communication that help young people avoid alcohol and drugs.

The featured speaker is Kendel Ehrlich, Maryland's First Lady. Howard County speakers are Restia Whittaker, Principal at Wilde Lake High School, Richard Krieg, President & CEO of The Horizon Foundation, Tom Cargiulo, Director of Substance Abuse Services at the Howard County Health Department, and Ms. Lynda Mitic, Principal at Centennial High School and a founder of HC DrugFree. No pre-registration is required.
