From the President:
One
of The Horizon Foundation’s goals is to
ensure that community residents have access to
information that is pertinent to health and
wellness. We believe that an important
way to accomplish this is to provide an online
forum for the exchange of ideas on critical
issues -- particularly those that are relevant
to health policy, programs and
practice.
To that end, we’ve
recruited some distinguished health leaders who
will contribute to our site on a regular
basis. Each of these seasoned
professionals will produce four columns per
year. We encourage you to read these
columns and to give us feedback on your own
perspective through the Horizon
website.
Over time, we will be adding
other features to stimulate new thinking about
the improvement of community health and
wellness. I want to personally
thank Peter Beilenson, M.D., Jerry Seals, M.D.,
Robert Duggan, M.A., M.Ac., Charlene Quinn,
R.N., Ph.D., Nancy Weber, Michael Greenburg,
J.D. and Ron Carlson for their willingness to
contribute their time and talent to these
pages.
