Olivia is an award-winning public relations professional with a passion and successful track record in helping nonprofits achieve their communications goals.
At the Horizon Foundation, Olivia manages all strategic communications for the Foundation and its family of initiatives. She brings more than a decade of experience providing comprehensive communications expertise – including media relations, message development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, graphic design, social media and digital strategies – to advance social change. She previously served as senior director at The Hatcher Group and led communications for The Pew Charitable Trusts’ election initiatives.
Throughout her career, Olivia has had numerous unique opportunities and successes, including working on a home-building event on the National Mall with the First Lady, obtaining a customized video from Stephen Colbert on military voting and earning international news coverage for report releases. In 2012, Olivia was honored with an Emerging Leaders Award from Washington Women in Public Relations. In 2017, she was the recipient of a Leading Women Award from The Daily Record. She also is a graduate of the Leadership Howard County Class of 2017. Olivia holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
