Rosimar is a proven leader with extensive nonprofit, grants management, fundraising, program development, sales and marketing experience.
At the Horizon Foundation, Rosimar is responsible for managing and coordinating the grantmaking program. She serves as expert for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of grant cycles and ensures that awardees are in compliance with established administrative and financial policies, procedures and sound business practices. She has helped numerous nonprofits grow to have a bigger impact in health and social services.
Rosimar is also project leader for various Foundation initiatives including Open Streets, an effort to promote a more bikeable and walkable Howard County, and the Foundation’s Equity initiative, which seeks to reduce health disparities and work toward racial equity in health. Previously, she was the regional director in Howard and Anne Arundel County for the United Way of Central Maryland. She oversaw all aspects of account and grants management, resource development, volunteer recruitment and community engagement.
Rosimar’s experience working with nonprofits, the private sector, local and federal government extends over 25 years. She is a graduate of the Leadership Howard County Class of 2012 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
