Howard County friends,

It’s difficult to comprehend how much we’ve all been through over the past 21 months. As we reflect on another year marred by the COVID-19 pandemic, our hearts and thoughts remain with everyone who is struggling right now. We must keep coming together to support one another in these uncertain times.

Despite so many challenges, our staff, grantees, partners and entire Howard County community have much to be proud of. From providing new resources on the COVID-19 vaccines, to successfully advocating for a record level of funding for complete streets, to expanding school-based mental health services for all of our kids, to finding new ways to connect with one another at community events, this year has been packed full of important and impactful work across Howard County.

This work – and those we partner with to make it happen – keeps us going during tough times. Check out this video about our approach to solving public health issues in our community and our goal to ensure everyone in Howard County has the opportunity to live a long, healthy life.

Our community, our country and our world face great challenges ahead – but the innovation, passion and commitment for social good in Howard County keeps me hopeful. I am grateful to all of you for your support and partnership as we continue our work to make our community a healthier and more equitable place for all.

I wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy and happy holiday season. Onward to 2022!

Be well,
