Support Mental Health in Schools

Take action now

Tell county leaders to invest in mental health services for students

Through a new 30-school pilot program jointly funded by the county and the Horizon Foundation, the Howard County Public School System has now greatly increased the level of mental health services available to students during the school day, including one-on-one counseling services.

Given tight budgets, this significant investment in the health and social/emotional well-being of students may be at risk.

Tell our county leaders to maintain the funds needed for this 30-school pilot and to evaluate this program so we can learn how to support the mental health needs of students. We need your help! Take action now, as important budget decisions are currently being made.
