Want to help us tackle chronic disease in Howard County? Join our virtual drop-in session next Wednesday!

Like so many communities across the country, diabetes and other chronic diseases threaten public health in Howard County – and disproportionately impact people of color. Much work remains to improve our community’s nutrition and physical activity environment so we can improve health outcomes for everyone.

The Horizon Foundation recently released a request for proposals to help increase Howard County residents’ awareness of diabetes, advocate for local and state health policies to reduce diabetes and related health disparities and reduce social and cultural stigmas that prevent people from seeking help. We are excited to host a virtual drop-in session on September 8th at 6 p.m. for community members to learn more about this grant opportunity and how to get involved with the Healthy Choices Coalition. Drop in to learn more, ask questions and get connected to these efforts!

Mark your calendars for September 8th at 6 p.m. and use the Zoom link below to drop in to this virtual session. See you then!
