Sugar Free Kids Maryland to Focus on Healthy Vending Options
Sugar Free Kids, Maryland’s leading voice in the fight against childhood obesity and teenage diabetes, announced the introduction of the “Maryland Healthy Vending Act” during the 2016 state legislative session. The legislation would make healthier food and drinks more widely available in vending machines on state property. >>

Last month, County Executive Allan Kittleman introduced Howard County’s first Bicycle Master Plan, BikeHoward. The plan is pedaling forward after gaining approval from the planning board. >>

$1.2 Million in Grants Awarded in 2015
